HomePulse
Privacy Policy
Effective date: June 12, 2026
HomePulse helps users track home maintenance, service history, recurring subscriptions, reminders, and reports. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app handles and how it is used.
Information We Collect
- Email address, used for email OTP sign-in, account identification, support, and account notices.
- Authentication information from Google Sign-In or Apple Sign-In if you choose to use those providers.
- Phone number, where present from legacy phone sign-in accounts or user-entered contractor records.
- User-entered maintenance records, including item names, categories, service dates, intervals, estimated costs, notes, and service history.
- User-entered property and contractor records.
- User-entered recurring subscription records, including provider names, amounts, billing cycles, renewal dates, payment method notes, and reminders.
- Images or text you choose to import from bills, receipts, screenshots, invoices, or service documents when using the paid photo import feature.
- Purchase and entitlement data from Google Play Billing or Apple In-App Purchase.
- Device notification tokens, used to send reminder notifications.
- Diagnostics needed to troubleshoot sync, notification, account, or purchase issues.
Local-Only And Cloud Sync
Free users can use HomePulse without signing in. In local-only mode, user-entered app data is stored on the device and is not synced to Supabase. If a user signs in or upgrades to a paid plan, existing local app data may be associated with the signed-in account and synced to Supabase to provide cloud sync, account recovery, and paid-plan features.
How We Use Information
- Provide account sign-in and user data sync when a user chooses to sign in.
- Store local maintenance, property, contractor, and subscription records on the device.
- Sync maintenance, property, contractor, and subscription records for signed-in users.
- Send reminder notifications.
- Generate reports requested by the user.
- Extract draft reminder details from imported bills, receipts, screenshots, invoices, or service documents for user review before saving.
- Manage paid subscription entitlements.
- Respond to support and account deletion requests.
- Maintain app security, reliability, and abuse prevention.
Photo Import And Document Processing
Photo import is a paid feature. When you choose to import a bill, receipt, screenshot, invoice, or service document, HomePulse first attempts to read text from the image on your device. Extracted text may be sent to our Supabase backend to identify likely reminder details such as names, amounts, dates, billing cycles, and categories. If local text extraction is unavailable or insufficient, the selected image may be sent to our backend for processing.
Our backend may use Google Gemini or other Google AI services to extract structured details from the text or image. Extraction results are shown for review and editing before they are saved. Imported records are stored only when you choose to save them. You should avoid importing documents that contain highly sensitive information that is not needed for a HomePulse reminder.
Sharing
We do not sell user personal information. Data may be processed by service providers required to operate the app, including Supabase, Resend for authentication email delivery, Firebase Cloud Messaging, Google Gemini or other Google AI services for import extraction, Google Play, and Apple App Store services.
Data Retention And Deletion
Local-only data remains on the user's device unless the user deletes it in the app or removes the app data from the device. Signed-in users can request account and synced data deletion in the app from Settings > Delete Account. Deletion requests are processed according to applicable legal and operational retention requirements.
User Controls
- Users can edit or delete maintenance items, service logs, properties, contractors, and recurring subscriptions in the app.
- Users can turn notification permissions on or off from device settings.
- Users can cancel app subscriptions through Google Play or Apple subscription management.
Security
HomePulse uses Supabase authentication and row-level security policies to separate user data. No system can be guaranteed fully secure, but production access is restricted and monitored.
